March 30th was opening day of Trout Season at Leaser Lake.  Beautiful weather and glass-like conditions greeted
anglers who were returning to the lake for the first time in over 3 years.  The water level in the lake is the highest that
it's been since 1999 and continuing to rise.  Reintroduction of warmwater fish (Bass, Panfish, Catfish etc.) will begin
later this spring.  The PFBC Fisheries Management Plan for Leaser Lake calls for stocking of baitfish and fingerling
game fish at first, and the reintroduction of adult sized game fish.  We anticipate that it will take 3 to 4 years to rebuild
the warmwater fishery in Leaser Lake.  However, the trout fishery promises to provide excitement for anglers beginning
this year!
