What is the Leaser Lake Heritage Foundation?
We have formed a non-profit foundation to serve as a catalyst in the restoration of Leaser Lake in Lynn
Township, Lehigh County, PA.  In 1999, the lake was lowered by 20 feet due to growing concerns over seepage
through the dam.
What are the Foundation's Goals?
What can I do to help get Leaser Lake restored?
Collect funds from public and private sources to repair the dam. (DONE!!!)
Restore wetlands and fish habitat around the lake's shoreline.
Repair existing facilities including restrooms, boat ramps and picnic areas. (RESTROOMS ARE ON THEIR WAY!!!)
Develop new recreation opportunities at the lake such as hiking trails.  (MASTER SITE PLAN COMING IN 2008)
Protect Open Space around the lake and preserve existing farmlands.
Dedicated to the Restoration and Preservation of Leaser Lake

On September 28th Gov. Rendell presented a check for 4.8 MILLION DOLLARS to Lehigh County Executive Don Cunningham.
Combined with the $500,000 which has been pledged by Lehigh County, there is now sufficient
funding to repair the Leaser Lake Dam!!!
BUT THERE IS STILL A LOT TO DO!!!

THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the efforts to get this funding!!!

The Leaser Lake Heritage Foundation and Lehigh County have been
awarded an $80,000 grant from the PA Fish & Boat Commission to
replace the pit toilets at the two boat ramps with new, pre-cast concrete
facilities.  Expect construction to begin in the late spring of 2008.
GOING UP...
To complete the structural analysis of the
dam, the lake will be TEMPORARILY
refilled this spring.  So enjoy it while it
lasts, but don't be too surprised when the
water level is lowered again at the end of
the summer
